saved scan opens in window picture and fax viewer

    Hi... I'm not sure if anyone has experienced this problem or if this is the right forum to find an answer, but I thought I'd give it a try.

    Here's the problem: When I scan a doc using my Lexmark all in one, the scanned image an or document opens in, "Windows picture and fax view."

    Obviously, I can't "print" legal doc's using doPDF if it's in this format, but I can't figure out how to reset it. Anyone have a clue as to what I need to do to get myself out of this dilema or possible point me in the right (forum) direction.

    Windows Picture and Fax Viewer has a print option, so when you click it you can select dopdf and have a pdf created out of it.

    However, if you want the scan to open with a different program than WPFV, you'll have to open Windows Explorer, go to Tools->Folder Options->File Types, and in there look for tiff (I assume that's the format of the scan, if it's jpeg/gif look for that) and you can click on Change to modify the program it will open with.
