PDF issues with Word table with horizontal borders

    Word 2003 on Windows 7

    I'm having an issue creating a PDF containing word tables that have horizontal borders and background shading.

    In the resulting PDF there are teeny tiny vertical tags where you would expect vertical borders to exists, but there should be no vertical borders.

    I have tried removing the shading, but the tags still exist.

    Any ideas on how to solve the problem?
