    Hi, you have to install a pdf reader, such as the free Adobe Reader:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

    Once installed, it'll associate the .pdf extension so when you double-click a PDF file it will open it automatically.

    you could also look at the great Sumatra PDF:

    it's free, like Adobe Reader, but it's much smaller, much faster and uses far fewer system resources than Adobe's bohemoth (would you believe the full Acrobat install takes almost a Gigabyte of space!).
