I don't know if this bug was fixed.

Windows Vista x64, SP1

Several times now, when I have gone to print, it looked like nothing was happening. I realized that the Save As prompt was behind all other windows, and I had to Alt-Tab to get to it.

It didn't appear on the Task Bar, and it obviously didn't pop up in front of the application I was printing from.

Is this a known issue? Has it been fixed already?
Having the Save As dialog appear on the Task Bar or having it make sure it is the top-most window would help.

When I print to doPDF and it downloads and saves the PDF file, it automatically opens the file.

I would like to stop it from opening the file after download.

I downloaded DoPdf and the files convert to PDF.
however, now my laptop will not print to any of my printers either connected directly to my hp color laser jet 2600n or thru my wireless network.
when i open my printers and faxes file and click on properties on my hp2600n, i get a message that the print spooler service is not running.
if i try to do a normal print of a word doc to my printer i now get a message that says the printer is not set up. i can remove and reload the hp 2600n but it will not correct the problem. seems the DoPdf download did something to my other print drivers?

Hello, I am converting a MS Word doc to pdf using the doPDF printer. In my MS Word file I have my author name set to my name, when the pdf file opens it is using my user profile name "sunshine"... I have changed my profile name to my name, checked the MS Word Doc and the author name was correct, restarted the pc with the new user profile name and still I get the same result - the wrong author name appears in the PDF document file. I only have the reader - therefore I can't change the information from inside Acrobat. Why does it keep resetting the Author name and how do I fix this?
Thanks Laura

I have been using doPDF version 5 for some time with no problems. I ignored the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" philosophy and decided to upgrade to version 6. Now it's broke!

I uninstalled version 5, and installed version 6.1 (downloaded yesterday). Now when I attempt to create a PDF from Word 2007 that worked fine on 5 yesterday, I only get about 25% of the page, and the rest is blank. I uninstalled 6 and reinstalled, then rebooted to refresh the driver. I'm using Vista X64.

What am I doing wrong?

We did some minor tweaks to the forum:

Related links now show (up to 5 of them) at the top of each post, as long as there are some related links. Tags you add for each post have the most importance in showing up as related links, so be sure to add tags for new posts to help others find similar posts.

On the profile page you can now put links to the profiles from other social media websites (right now only Twitter, Digg, Delicious, Technorati show up, more to come later). As an example, you can visit my profile http://www.dopdf.com/forum/profile/softland and you'll see at the top the Social bookmark links. If you want to follow our updates on Twitter for example, you just click on the Twitter link (http://twitter.com/softlandro) and Follow us.

Olli translated the doPDF.com website in Finnish. Kiitos Olli! (that's thank you in Finnish, if you are from Finland and would like to send a thank you to Olli, you can do so by emailing ollinpostit@gmail.com).

Thanks to all the translators that helped us, the number of languages the dopdf.com website is available in went up to 17. Think that's a lot? Well, according to the Ethnologue organization (http://www.ethnologue.com), there are 6,912 known living languages, so we merely have dopdf translated in 0.2% of these.

During my investigation of program features I found in doPDF Help document reference to: User Guide (PDF)
When I produced User Guide document I found that it relates to v5 and not to v6 (my version is 6.1 Build 281).
Specificaly, User Guide describes all features for command line usage, and those features are not anymore available in version 6 according to your info on Forum (May, 2008) about Silent installation.

It will be nice if in any of further builds you correct inserted document to proper one which relates to version 6.

Your software is just what I need to convert .doc files to .pdf files. However, only one problem. The images I place in my .doc files don't show up when converted into .pdf's. Can you help me out otherwise I'll have to keep looking for a better converter.

Hi,
I was on two different websites and needed to upload a pdf created from a doc file (2 pages, text only). Both times I wasn't able to do it, as if the file was not recognized as a pdf.
Thanks!

just tried your program today and I am very impressed.
I have a word doc (converted to a pdf with your program)and 3 pdfs that I have merged into one pdf. The original word doc had bookmarks and hyperlinks (all within the word doc)but these were not retained. Is there a way to retain these? Also is there a way to add a header and footer to all pages in the new pdf?
