&#60;blockquote&#62;&#60;p&#62;Awards are given to products that we think are excellent and above average in their category. Awards are given based on our experience and judgement, and only to products which the majority of our reviewers agree deserve it.
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;/blockquote&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Lots of download sites offer awards, but Softpedia is one of the few whose staff actually reviews the programs before offering the award. This is why the award will be mentioned on our homepage too. I wish they had award images with green backgrounds, but since they don't I went for the blue version:&#60;br /&#62;
