Hi,
Actually if you put in only the email address (for example test@test.com) it will be converted to a clickable link, so the parameter part is what makes it confusing for dopdf. If possible I would remove the parameters.

Hallo Softland,

thanks for this explanation, but I´ve another problem which is near the described in your posting:
The Original File is a MS-Word-XP Document and the content contains the follwing links:

The first: stmug.bayern.de
The second: mailto:infoabruf@vbu-by.de?body=get%20mgl%20zusatz_info.pdf

Both are not hidden links and both are within correctly html-syntax.

Within the ms-word-file both links are fully functional - but after the file is converted to a doPDF-File I can using only the first. Remember: the caracters "http://" are not included ..

Is ther a troubleshooting? I need urgently links like "mailto: ...." The great "brother" from Adobe generates this "mailto:...."-links correctly.

Thanks for all your answers.

Best regards
Schneckerl

doPDF does not convert word bookmarks, but the hyperlinks should be converted if they're visible (for instance if you have in the word document a link like www.novapdf.com it will be converted in the PDF as a clickable link, but if it's like novaPDF - hidden link - it will not be converted).

You cannot add header and footer after the pdf was created because doPDF doesn't edit PDF files - sorry.

P.S. You might want to look at novaPDF (commercial though) as it has bookmarks and can add watermarks (which might be the header/footer solution you're looking for).

just tried your program today and I am very impressed.
I have a word doc (converted to a pdf with your program)and 3 pdfs that I have merged into one pdf. The original word doc had bookmarks and hyperlinks (all within the word doc)but these were not retained. Is there a way to retain these? Also is there a way to add a header and footer to all pages in the new pdf?

In order to have links clickable in the PDF, in the original file they have to be in the www. or http: format (e.g. www.novapdf.com, http://www.novapdf.com ), so they don't have to be hidden links (a word that links to a page will not be clickable in the pdf). Probably you have them as hidden links and that's why they don't get converted.

P.S. I understand you're new to the forum, but in the future please don't post the same question multiple times in different posts and especially not in the Announcements forum (I've moved this post for now). Thank you.

Make sure that the links are formatted this way: http:// or www. (basically they shouldn't be hidden links).

doPDF doesn't support PDF links, so if you have a hyperlink in the original document it will become plain text in the PDF version.
