The solution I posted from techtalkz works also (which is good for websites that don't have the "printable" option).

That is, in Internet Explorer:
Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - Settings - Print Background Colors and Images

Hello,

Please go to the immigration-usa.com/html_colors.html website and use the printable version for converting. It will print the colored cell backgrounds correctly.

Thank you.

I found one possible solution within a few minutes of posting this, but I am unable to check this at work because the settings are dictated by the system administrator.

techtalkz.com/internet-explorer/52491-ie7-table-cell-background-color-does-not-print-preview.html

Sorry for posting this before doing more of my own homework.

Whenever I try to print an HTML table with colored cell backgrounds, the colors are not preserved in the conversion to PDF format.

For example, when I try to convert the color scale table located at this website,
immigration-usa.com/html_colors.html
, all of the cell color fills become white in the generated PDF file.

Thank you for your help.

This is because you have the option to print background color and images in Word 2007 disabled, is not because of doPDF. You can enable that option in Word 2007 by clicking on the office button, then go to Word Options->Display and in the Priting options section you should check that Print background images and colors option. Save it and print to dopdf again.

I recently downloaded doPDF to convert a file from Microsoft Word 2007.
The document I created was using white text on an entirely black background, however when I converted it to .pdf the background colour became white again, which means you can no longer read the text.

How do I ensure that the background colour carries over into the .pdf document?

doPDF doesn't convert well the backgrounds that use transparency/opacity, so you'll need to make sure that the tan background doesn't have transparency.

I am having the same problem. I have a Word 2003 doc with a large text box with a tan background. When it gets converted the background is a blue/grey. I tried changing the resolution from 300 to 600 to no avail. I am running WinXP. My doPDF is version 6.1-281.

Hi, you mean the color of some images or the color of text? For the images this happens because they are compressed a little, have you tried using a higher resolution for conversion (in its Printing Preferences window there's a Resolution drop-down)?

Color change problem. When converting from publisher 2003 to pdf, some of my color change. Is there anything I can do?
