I can select multiple sheets in Excel and print to a multi-page PDF.

This works in most cases but in other cases doPDF will only print 1 sheet per PDF file and give me the "Save PDF" pop up on each sheet.

I can't find any rhyme or reason for it except that it mainly throws this on new sheets in the workbook even though they are identical & have same print setup as the other sheets. I have tried saving & reopening Excel after adding sheets but with the same results.

Any ideas?

Greetings,

I have both CS 3 and Reader 8 installed. When I use doPDF, the resulting file opens in Acrobat instead of Reader despite the fact that I have my system set to open .PDF files with Reader (Acrobat and the other components of CS3 take much longer to load).

Can you please advise how I can get the files created by doPDF to open in Reader rather than Acrobat?

I recently downloaded doPDF to convert a file from Microsoft Word 2007.
The document I created was using white text on an entirely black background, however when I converted it to .pdf the background colour became white again, which means you can no longer read the text.

How do I ensure that the background colour carries over into the .pdf document?

I need serious help. I need to keep my pdf documents under 2 MB. For instance, I created a word document that had pictures in it. When I was done, the document was .98 MB, I opened up the print option and chose doPDF v 6. It converted over to pdf, but shot the file size up to 2.15 MB. I compressed all of the pictures down before I even placed them in the document, so that isn't the problem. Help!

I see a problem when printing eBooks to a doPDF printer. The resulting pdf file has a lot of white space on all sides of the text ad hence it appears to be much smaller than the original size as seen in the eBook. Does doPDF do a size reduction of the incoming data? Is there an option to turn this off? Can doPDF by default 'fit the text' onto the Letter size page when creating a pdf file?

Hello,
I am having trouble when I print an Excel workbook. There are a total of 9 worksheets in the workbook with 90 "printable" pages. When I attempt to print using DoPDF, instead of printing a pdf with 90 pages, it attempts to split up the workbook into 6 different pdfs. This does not seem to correspond with the amount of worksheets or pages being printed. I think that this has something to do with the headers in the workbook, since when I create a new workbook in excel and attempt to recreate the problem, I cannot and one pdf is made with the merged multiple worksheets. I don't know if this is a problem with DoPDF since I have alternative pdf printers and all do the same thing. Is there any hope to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance!

If for some reason doPDF is not working, you can perform a complete uninstall of doPDF and reinstalling it to see if the problem is solved. Even if you use the normal Uninstaller included in the doPDF Start group, there are some files left behind that need to be cleaned up too, so here's a small guide on how to perform a complete uninstall and a reinstall:

Uninstall doPDF using the Uninstall option in the Start->Programs->doPDF 6->Uninstall doPDF 6

after it's uninstalled, manually delete the following files from the locations specified (there might not be any left, but if they are delete them):
dopdf6.chm
dopdf6.clg
dopdf6_en.lng
dopdfcl6.exe
dopdfpr6.dll
dopdfui6.dll
dpactx6.dll
dopdf6.ctm
from these locations (verify them all please):
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\
C:\WINDOWS\system32

after those are deleted restart your computer and download the new version of doPDF from http://www.dopdf.com/ and install it

doPDF installs as a virtual PDF printer driver so there is no exe file to run in order to convert your documents into PDF files.

To create PDF files, you just have to print your documents to the doPDF Printer, like you would print to a normal printer. Below are some examples on how to create PDF files from various programs (the principle is the same, File->Print and select doPDF as the printer).

How to create PDF files from Microsoft Word:

Open the Word document that you want to convert to a PDF file.

Go to File->Print and select doPDF from the Printers combo-box.

Click on Ok and choose a location for your PDF file.

Here is a screenshot of the above mentioned process:

How to create PDF files from Microsoft WordPad:

Open the document that you want to convert to a PDF file.

Go to File->Print and select doPDF from the Printers list.

Click on Print and choose a location for the PDF.

How to create PDF files from NotePad:

Open the NotePad document that you want to convert to a PDF file.

Go to File->Print and select doPDF from the Printers list.

Click on Print and choose a location for the PDF.
