I have about 300 images that I would like to get onto a page with 9 on each page, but I would also like the filename to show up under each image. I see that it is possible if I do 35 images on a sheet in the wallet size, but that is too small for me. Can this somehow be done for 9 images per sheet? Please help.

thanks

I sometimes transcribe ancient documents into Word (.docx) files, and as far as possible try to preserve the layout of the originals - eg line and page breaks in the same place. Also for handwritten documents I sometimes use a mixture of fonts to represent different people's handwriting.

When using doPDF to convert the files to pdfs, I find that if I embed the fonts the file size becomes vastly bigger than the original .docx file, so I tend not to embed fonts.

What I would like to know is, if the fonts I used are not available when the pdf file is opened and the pdf reader chooses a substitute, will the layout of my document nevertheless remain exactly the same, or is it liable to change when different fonts are used? While it is not the end of the world for the fonts to be changed, it can matter a lot if the page layout changes.

Please can anyone help with this?

Greetings - I printed a page, but the links are not clickable.

I understand the links must begin with http: //domain.com in order for them to be clickable. I also understand the links must be "visible". When I hover over the link on the webpage, the link is in the http: //domain.com format. That is what the directions mean by "visible"?

I used the "Print" icon on the web page (embedded on the page as a javascript command), and I also used "File>>Print" in my browser. Both printed in dopdf but neither document had clickable links.

Part of the source code for the original page is:
[Less than symbol]a href="http://www.bhg.com/kitchen/cabinets/makeovers/metal-inserts/" class="null" onclick=""[Greater than symbol]See how to make these sheet metal inserts.[Less than symbol]/a[Greater than symbol]

The original URL was:
http://www.bhg.com/bhg/templates/slideshow/print/member/printableSlideShowAll.jsp?slideid=/templatedata/bhg/slideshow/data/KM_KitchenDoorsAboutFace_07222004.xml&printAll=true&page=1

Since the new year, 1/1/2012, the pdf files created with dopdf have been noted as having a creation date in May of 2003. The first file created in the new year has a date of 5/20/2003 and they go from there. The file looks fine and prints fine on other computer systems. It's just an odd thing. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Can anyone tell me how i can solve the problem of obtaining a PDF with the content of the .doc file gradually sliding down till eventually passing one page to become part, and finally the content, of the next page. And this occurs while the file and the printer have the same settings and happens to all .doc files. I'm using XP. Thanks for any advice.

I realize this is probably an unusal request...

But is it possible, either with doPDF or another tool, to exempt certain pages from the total page count of a PDF document.

Say I have a document with 23 pages, but 3 of those pages contain a large image instead of the main body text.

When I open this document in Acrobat Reader, the page counter will show "1/23".

But can I somehow exempt the image pages from the total page count so the page counter shows "1/20" without REMOVING the image pages from the document?

Is this in any way possible?

I just downloaded and have a bunch of small documents - 32 in total - to convert. doPDF converted great for 14 of them, now it goes through the steps to convert but doesn't actually do it.

I decided to give this a try. After downloading DoPDF,it couldn't find a file I wanted to correct{which was in Microsoft Office}.Before it could do this, you have to make DoPDF your 'default printer'to get it to operate -- which I did. When it couldn't find the file I wanted to correct,I reversed the setting to my original 'default printer'.But the BIGGEST thing it did was to make it so that I couldn't open-up my homepage!I tried to open it up a couple of times and each time it said it was 'unable' to do so.I've had this happen with software before and the first thing I thought was 'everything was working fine BEFORE I installed those files{DoPDF}' -- nothing else had changed. It was then I knew I was going to have to UNINSTALL this software -- which is what I did. After that,no more problems with the homepage!Sometimes, some software has compatibility problems -- evidently that was the case with DoPDF.In case it will help,I'm running Windows 7 on Internet Explorer 9.If anyone has any ideas,LET ME KNOW!Thank you.

When I email PDFs vis Sage 2011 the recipient gets a blank pdf file and my iphone recieves the winmail.dat file. I run xp pro with office 2007. I can fully view the pdf file prior to email and even if I email it to my self but as soon as it goes to someone else it appears blank. I have updated to PDF X PRO but problem is still there. I have changed the PDF converter driver (for sage) to Adobe driver etc... still same problem. The only work around I have found is to send all emails using plain text formatting but given that this is only a recent issue and all worked well before I would like to find a proper solution. The only thing I havent tried is updating to office 2010 but dont want to shell out another £190 if it doesnt work.

I want to print as PDF, and upload (to a print-on-demand publisher) a long word document with dozens of photos in it. The images are NOT embedded or inserted, they are linked to file, so that the images have the same ppi as the original files (300ppi). I have done this several times, using dopdf and selecting the "smaller file" option (which results in a 58MB file). (The dopdf "higher quality image" option yields a 97MB file which takes a long time to upload.)

The 58MB files have always been accepted by the publisher, with all images retaining the original 300ppi. However, after making some editorial changes and re-submitting, the publisher now tells me that the images that were previously 300ppi have gone from 300ppi to as low as 170ppi. I did not change any of the images. I did add some images. My questions:

1. It is my understanding that the "smaller file" option creates a zip file, while the "higher quality image" option creates a jpeg file. Is this true?

2. Since previous files with fewer (up to 70) images have always retained their original 300ppi, and the drastic, across-the-board reduction in ppi occurred for the first time after adding a few (4) images, there seems to be a cutoff point beyond which the "smaller file" option begins to degrade the images. Is this true?

3. Any insights as to what would cause this sudden change would be most appreciated.

Misc: Running Win7, Word 2007; image ppi as per Photoshop on my end and whatever the publisher is running on their end.

Hi guys, I am new here and wanted to know if I am doing something wrong when I send my doPDF as an email to another computer because the doPDF recipient does not see the same PDF file that I sent. I am using special fonts but with a PDF file I have never had a problem with the doc looking differently than the one I sent.
Thanks

Hi...

Very new to PDF forms. Have just got hold of a copy of Foxit Phantom (Business). I am trying to add a pop up calendar to my form, can anyone (idiots guide) explain if/how I can do it...

Thanks

Will any of the old versions of doPDF work with Windows NT?

I have an old NT computer that can not be upgraded and I need a printer installed.
