How can I avoid the file name and path showing in right hand corner of each page when I've created a pdf?

That's automatically added by the browser. In Internet Explorer you have to go to File-Print Preview and in there press Alt+E which will remove the header/footer information that displays the url. In Firefox go to File-Print Preview then click on Page Setup and there's a Margins/Header tab where you can hide what you don't want showing up.
