[Major update] doPDF 6.2.287

Postby Softland » Fri Jan 30, 2009 5:36 pm

doPDF 6.2 build 287 is now available for download. Update is recommended, as this version includes a new feature (font embedding).
What's changed in doPDF 6.2.287:

Update: Added option to embed fonts in the resulting PDF file (shown in the Save PDF dialog window).

NOTE: By checking the Embed fonts option, the resulting PDF file will be considerably larger because it will include in the PDF the fonts used for the creation of the text. However, font embedding also ensures that the text in the PDF will look the same on other computers where it is opened, even if the fonts used are not present on that computer.
Update: Added informational page in the start menu group (describes how to create PDF files)
Minor fixes

dopdf 6.2.288 released but this is a minor release as it only contains one bug fix - the Save PDF dialog window behavior modified when the file already existed (if the file existed and No was pressed when asked to replace it, the OK button didn't do anything).

doPDF 6.2.289 was released. This is a minor update with only 2 specific fixes:

  • Corrected behavior when printing specific images from Google Chrome (32-bit bitmaps with alpha channel)

  • When printing from Crystal Reports the name of the PDF will not include "Crystal Reports - " anymore

  • Minor language updates (some new strings translated)

doPDF 6.2.291 is now uploaded, but the last 2 buils (290, 291) contain only internal changes so there's no need to update it.
